Linda Carolyn Mills Major, 68 of Heidrick, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Barbourville ARH.  Born September 26, 1952, in Barbourville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Dallas and Ethel Mills.

In addition to her father and mother, Linda was preceded in death by five sisters: Thelma McVey, Rachel Mills, Wilma Jean Mills, Wittie Trent, and Ruby Smith; and one brother: Ray Mills.

Linda was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.  God was first and foremost in her life.  She was also a deeply loving and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.

She leaves behind her husband, Frank Major; daughter, Michelle French and husband Timothy; son, Brian Kilgore and wife Kara; daughter, Amber Barton; daughter, Kim Vaughn; son Dillion Major and wife Caley; grandchildren: Caitlin Kilgore, Marisa French; Jonah French and fiancé Emily Wooton, Christian French, Jenna Major, Kylie Kilgore, Clay Major, Avery Major, and Macie Major; great granddaughter, KenzLee Elizabeth French whose arrival is joyfully expected next month; brother, Dallas Mills, Jr., and wife Mary; nephews: Mike Trent and wife Delone, Steve Jones and wife Robin, Calvin McVey and wife Lisa, Dennis McVey and wife Donna, Scott Trent, and E.J. Smith and wife Amanda; nieces: Sandy Crawford and husband Gary and Sabrina King and husband Jeremy; and brother-in-law, Elbert Smith.  She is also survived by other relatives and numerous friends.  Deeply loved, she will be forever missed.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 29, 2021, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Vernon Morris and Michael Mays officiating.  Burial will follow in Worley Cemetery.  Serving as active pallbearers will be Tim French, Jonah French, Steve Jones, Scott Trent, Dennis McVey, E.J. Smith, Nathan Gambrel, and David Edwards.  Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Trent and Calvin McVey.  The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Wednesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

    To my neighbors Michelle and Tim French and family , I’m so sorry for your lost of your beautiful mother . With all of my health issues and this horrible disease that is taking away our family an friends . I no this has ripped your heart apart an I’m so sorry. Your mom is in heaven withy hubby an he is telling her all his jokes . I can just picture her laughing at him.. I love you all so much I’m praying for peace for you and your family . 💕
