Linda Jaye Mitchell
May 27, 1951 - April 29, 2025On April 29, 2025, Linda Noe Mitchell, claimed her eternal hope and left this world for her heavenly home. Linda was born in Barbourville, Kentucky, on May 27, 1951, to Alry and Irene Noe. She is survived by her loving husband Carson of 54 years and two children: Rachel (Larry) Dickerson and Joel (Joanne) Mitchell, along with her grandchildren: Braden Dickerson, Grant (Makenna) Dickerson, Karlee Dickerson, Lily Mitchell, Kash Mitchell, Scarlett Mitchell, Kaydence Ivey, Kara Ivey, and Kylee Ivey. Her grandchildren were adored and loving them was the highlight of her life. Linda believed that children were a treasured blessing from the Lord. She served and delighted in her children and grandchildren all the days of her life.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gary Noe, and a sister-in-law, Frances Noe. She is also survived by two brothers: Alry Wayne Noe and Howard (Debbie) Noe; a sister-in-law, Billie Noe,; and a multitude of family and friends who loved her deeply.
Linda graduated as the Valedictorian from Lynn Camp High School in 1969. Her intelligence was easy and evident to everyone who knew her, but never boastful, as she elevated everyone around her by pointing out their special qualities. Linda had a laugh that would light up the room, and she enjoyed reading and playing cards, and was a skilled bowler. Throughout her life, Linda worked many jobs and managed a family business, forming meaningful friendships along the way.
Since 1977, Linda has been a member of Park Hill Baptist Church and has served the Lord with gladness, continually seeking his divine guidance. Linda’s legacy of faith is found in Ephesians 4:32: “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God as forgiven you.” Linda lived this scripture and was a mirror of God’s grace. Serving and loving God, family, and friends were the priorities and blessings of Linda’s life. What more could one ask for in this life… God is good!
