March 19, 1976 - January 29, 2024

Lyssa Shackleford, 47, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024, at Baptist Health Corbin.  She was born on March 19, 1976, in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Lyssa was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, and friend.   Some of her happiest times were spent vacationing with her cherished family.  She was joyfully anticipating the birth of her first grandchild, Oakley Alyssa, in June.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Diane Brittain Parker, in 2015.

Lyssa leaves behind her loving husband, Chris Shackleford; son, Austin Shackleford; daughter, Bailey Shackleford; father, Mickey Diehl; step-mother, Nancy Diehl; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nathan and Judy Shackleford.

She is also survived by other family and friends both locally and in the Virginia Shenandoah Valley.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M.  at Hart Funeral Home.   A graveside service will follow at Calvary Cemetery with James Hubbs officiating.

Hart Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

    I lost my cherished daughter ; she will always be in our heart . We have a loved son in law and two beautiful grandchildren with a great grandchild on the way . What a wonderful and loving daughter she was to me and all of her friends and family . I know in my heart that she’s in heaven with her mother and the angels ! She was so precious to us all .we will miss her terribly but will be with us forever ! Lyssa honey i know that i will see you again in heaven ; Your loving father . 🙏🙏❤️
