Martyn Gordon Allison
May 1, 1960 - January 30, 2024Martyn Gordon Allison , 63, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at his home. Born May 1, 1960, in Bedford United Kingdom, he was the son of the late Desmond and Hettie Jiggles Allison. He became a permanent resident of the United States in 2000.
He was of the Christian faith.
He leaves behind his fiancé, Rachael Mills, of Corbin; three daughters: Jodie Swannell, Kristina Burrell, and Rochelle Schmitz; four grandchildren; and an aunt, Marlene Gannon, all of the United Kingdom. He is also survived by a host of family and friends.
Loved by many, Martyn will be deeply missed.
Currently the owner of a local auto dealership, Martyn’s Auto Mart, in Gray, Kentucky, Martyn held a variety of interests over the years. He was a retired professional motorcycle racer and motorcycle racing instructor. He was a ham radio enthusiast from the age of 12. He has won various awards and contests for both racing and ham radio. He especially loved nature. Also a Lotus enthusiast, he enjoyed boldly driving the Tail of the Dragon in the mountain of Deals Gap, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Merical and Brian Stokes officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Tuesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street Corbin, KY 40701.
