Mary Crystal Robinson Roark
April 24, 1935 - October 2, 2015Mary Crystal Robinson Roark, 80, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015. Born April 24, 1935, in Laurel County, she was the daughter of the late Steve Robinson and Minnie Overbee Robinson.
In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin C. Roark; by six brothers: Will Robinson, Calvin Robinson, Russell Robinson, Andy Robinson, Raymond Robinson, and Jerry Robinson; and by five sisters: Pearl Gilbert, Angie Anders, Eliza Lewis, Lucy Robinson, and Ellen Burnertt.
She is survived by one son: Eugene Roark (Lora Meadors) of Corbin; and one grandson: Isaiah Wesley Roark of Corbin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 6, 2015, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Lee Roy Smith and Eddie Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Sabri Johnson Cemetery in Corbin. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Harrell, Daniel Paul Manz, Jr., Charlie Stanford, Steve Hammons, Marty Martin, and Brandon Moncriff.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 P.M. Monday at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
