Nadine Mitchell Lankster

January 10, 1925 - July 14, 2021

On July 14, 2021, at the age of 96, Nadine Mitchell Lankster of Hendersonville, TN (formerly of Corbin, KY) passed from this earth to her eternal home in Heaven. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville for the last 22 years. The joy of her life was spending time with her family. She enjoyed going to family sporting events, fishing, cooking, gardening, working jigsaw puzzles, caring for her dog Lilly, and hand sewing quilts for her children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents Hugh and Pearl Mitchell; her husband Branson A. Lankster, Sr.; and all 14 of her siblings.

She is survived by her children: James Lankster (Florence) Lexington, KY; Branson A. “Bear” Lankster, Jr. (Lucille) Wilmore, KY; Jerry Lankster (Barbara) Corbin, KY; Quinetta Hendrickson, Hendersonville, TN; and David “Ben” Lankster (Darlene) Hendersonville, TN; her grandchildren: James “Bo” Lankster (Michelle) Lexington, KY; Theresa Kujawa (Mark) Minocqua, Wisconsin; Meredith Walker, Nashville, TN; Brandie Tatro (Quint) Nicholasville, KY; Paige Mattox (Matt) Wilmore, KY; Jeremy Lankster (Holly) Lexington, KY; Chris Lankster, Lexington, KY; Blair Bego (Mark) Nolensville, TN; Branson Lankster, Hermitage, TN; David Lankster, White House, TN; Daniel Lankster, Hendersonville, TN; and Natalie Lankster, Hendersonville, TN; step-grandchildren: Kyle Hendrickson (Wendy) Murfreesboro, TN; and Kyndall Hudson (Grant) Hendersonville, TN; her great grandchildren: Arly Williams (Michael); Aaron Michelle Lankster, Lexington, KY; Bailey Jo Lankster; Sofia Weddington; Ross Walker, Ellie Walker; Joshua Tatro, Andrew Tatro, Aaron Tatro; Camryn Mattox, Tucker Mattox; Olivia Lankster, Lilly Lankster; and Ally Bego; and step-great grandchildren: Charlie Hendrickson, Andrew Hendrickson, and Beckett Hudson.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 17, 2021, from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with the service starting at 2:00 P.M. at Hart Funeral Home 1011 Master Street Corbin, KY. Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery, Corbin, KY.

    Such a lovely, sweet lady with such a beautiful smile..we shall miss company/conversations at various family gatherings..our prayers to all her family and friends along with prayers that the Lord brings peace to all grieving hearts.

    I had the honor to have help care for Mrs Nadine she was such a delight I always looked forward to chatting over coffee and listing to her sweet story’s of her family and how proud she was it always put a smile one her face she was truly a wonderful lady and she will be greatly missed my thoughts and prayers are with the family.
