Nellie Mae Caroline Johnson
August 10, 1947 - October 3, 2019Nellie Mae Caroline Johnson, 72, of Keavy passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019, at her home. She was born August 10, 1947, in Whitley County.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed being a homemaker. She especially liked flower and vegetable gardening. For several years, she also worked as a cosmetologist.
Caroline was preceded in death by her father, Hoyt Alsip; mother, Myrtle Fox; sister, Maxine Copland; grandson, Ryan Risley; and brother, Larry Fox.
She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Roy Lee Johnson; three sons: Anthony Johnson and wife Lisa, Vincent Johnson and wife Christy, and Branson Johnson; three grandchildren: Tristan Johnson, Dana Johnson, and Shelby Johnson; three sisters: Elizabeth Sharp, Christie Dawn Lambert, and Nadine Perkins and husband Roy; brother-in-law, Glenn Johnson; and two sisters-in-law: Brenda Fox and Martha Johnson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and numerous friends. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 8, 2019, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Vincent Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery at Keavy.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 – 8 P.M. at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
