Nona S. Garrison
March 24, 1940 - January 2, 2014Nona Sue Garrison was born March 24, 1940, in Corbin, Kentucky, and departed this life on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at Christian Health Center in Corbin. She lived to be 73 years, 9 months, and 8 days of age.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William P. and Lillian M. Ledford; her husband, Ted R. Garrison; and three brothers: Doyle Ledford and wife Amanda, Raymond Ledford and wife Maxine, and P.D. Ledford and wife Aileen.
Survivors include her two children: Peggy Sue Bayer and husband Scott of Corbin and Ted Garrison, Jr., and wife Corrie of North Pole, Alaska; four grandchildren: Jessica Lainhart and husband Nathan, Jeremy Lambeth, Kari Jordan, and Tyler Jordan; two great-grandchildren: Caden and Logan Lainhart; a beloved sister: Flora Cobb; two brothers: Rex Ledford and wife Carol, and Wallace Ledford and wife Lisa, as well as other relatives and friends, to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 4, 2014, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Young officiating. Burial will follow in Garrison-Martin Cemetery with Tyler Jordan, Nathan Lainhart, Scott Bayer, Brandon Ledford, Wiley Smith, and Kari Jordan serving as pallbearers.
The family of Nona Sue Garrison will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
