Pamela Davis Spencer
August 6, 1947 - December 29, 2023Pamela Davis Spencer, 76, of Corbin passed away Friday, December 29, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born August 6, 1947, in Mount Sterling, KY, she was the daughter of the late Palmer and Ermine Stephens Davis.
Pam was a member of Central Baptist Church, a retired insurance agent, and a local real estate appraiser.
Pam’s legacy extended far beyond her professional achievements. Throughout her life she wore many hats. Pam served as Den Mother and Pack Leader for the local Cub Scouts, PTA President, and coached tee ball. Pam was also a cheerleading sponsor, a Blue-Ribbon winner in the Kentucky State Fair, and the neighborhood “Kool-Aid Mom.” However, nothing rivaled her lifelong devotion to UK Basketball! Pam was acknowledged several times as Corbin’s Biggest UK Fan and was featured on the front page of the Corbin Times for her outrageous rituals on game day. Not only will her family and friends miss her dearly, the Big Blue Nation will be a little quieter without one of their biggest fans.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Larry Spencer; a daughter, Melissa; and brothers, Doug Davis and Palmer Davis, Jr.
Pam is survived by her three children she so dearly loved: a daughter, Kimberley Spencer and fiancé H.A. Atkinson IV; two sons: Stephen (Faye) Spencer and Jason Spencer; three grandchildren: Brittnay Sears (Tyler), James Gallaway (Jaleah) and Camden Spencer; and five great-grandsons: Bentley and Easton Baugh; Lincoln and Colton Sears, and Stryder Owens; one great-granddaughter, Ella Mae Sears; a brother, Keith Davis; sister-in-law, Iris Combs (JB); and sister-in-law, Mary Spencer, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and numerous friends who will mourn her passing.
All attendees of her visitation are HIGHLY encouraged to wear their Big Blue attire (even you Vol fans) to celebrate the life of Pam. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel.
A graveside service and burial will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Machpelah Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, KY. Active pallbearers will be Camden Spencer, James Galloway, Stryder Owens, Bob Johnson, Joe Davis, Tim Foley and Dustin Cantrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Richie Taylor, Silky Sullivan, Lamar Hamilton, Ed Keith Davis, Troy Cantrell, Richard Mathis, Kelvin Morgan, Jerry Harper, and Mark Davis.

I am honored and blessed to have known your mother. Pam always made me, Tina and Tony feel like we were part of your family. She really was like a second mother to me growing up. I have so many great memories of her and your family. She will be greatly missed. Please accept my sincerest condolences.
