Peggy D. Hash, age 86, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Christian Health Center in Corbin.

Peggy was born in Peoria, Illinois, and was a member of Steele’s Chapel Christian Church. She had a love for music, fishing, crocheting, and cooking. She was an Atlanta Braves baseball fan. Some of her other hobbies included playing cards and camping and traveling with her husband. She liked front porch sittin’ and snapping beans. She also loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hash; her daughter, Patricia Hash; parents, Frank and Waunetah Gish; one sister, Patricia Krongold; and one granddaughter.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Bambi (Michael) Hood of Corbin; sons, Daniel (Pamela) Hash of Corbin, and Bret (Connie) Hash of Georgia; nine grandchildren: Dustin (Naomi) Hood, Jesse (Sarah) Hood, Brianna (Jacob) Smith, Skyler (Aaron) Back, Joshua (Tristan) Hash, Zachary Hash, Bryce Hash, Atreyu (Shelly) Hash, and Hayden Hash; five great-grandchildren: Cadence and Deaglan Hood, Scout and Ivy Smith, and Samson Back; three sisters-in-law: Brenda (John) Battle of Florida, Beverly Hash and Anne Hash; and many other friends and family.

A visitation will be held at Hart Funeral Home in Corbin, Kentucky, on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Andrew Darden will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Dustin and Jesse Hood, Joshua and Zachary Hash, Jacob Smith, Aaron Back, Rick Jones, and Howard “Kono” Priestley.

Peggy will be laid to rest in Corinth Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky, following the funeral service.

Hart Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
