Roy Woodrow Junior Swafford, 72, of Rockholds, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at his home.  Born April 9, 1953, in Corbin, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Susie Swafford.

In addition to his father and mother, Roy was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Margaret Swafford; and five siblings: Delbert, Tilmon, Johnny, Boyd, and Helen.

He leaves behind his wife, Teresa Swafford; son, Jack Swafford and wife Kim; son, Richard Swafford and wife Ashley; step-son, David Barnett and wife Tedessa; step-daughter, Sharon Barnett; eight grandchildren: Mary Beth Wells, Rebecca Kuhl and husband Marcus, Haley Brooke Montgomery and husband Trevor, Dallas Brown, Isabella Swafford, Isaiah Swafford, Ashley Davis, and Irena Wolfrom; eight great- grandchildren: Sky Wells, Ryley Johnson, Hayden Montgomery, Roman Wells, Maverick Brown, Owen Kuhl, Georgia Mae Montgomery, and Lily Brown; sister, Mary Stott; and two special friends: Larry Smith and Roger Smith.  He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Roy was a member and deacon of Black Oak Baptist Church, and formerly a member and deacon of Corn Creek Baptist Church.

He had been a heavy equipment operator before retirement.  He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family and farming.

Roy was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with James Paul officiating.  Burial will follow in Swafford Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
