Ruth Lunsford
August 20, 1929 - March 24, 2015Ruth Lunsford, 85, of Gray passed away Monday, March 23, 2015, at Continue Care Hospital. Born August 20, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Will and Mae Frost. In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Lunsford, a son, Jerry Lunsford, and a grand son-in-law, Mark Henderlight.
Survivors include three children: Billy Lunsford, Marsha Luke, and Rick Lunsford; three sisters: Annabelle Stanley, Dona Mae Fore, and Nellie Knepper; 10 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews and numerous friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 26, 2015, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Fore, her nephew, officiating. Burial will follow in Brafford Cemetery at Gray with grandsons serving as pallbearers: Kenny Smallwood, Ricky Lunsford, Jerry Lunsford, Joe Lunsford, Chris Wood, Dane May, and Tommy Helton.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 P.M. Wednesday at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
