Sidney C. Hill, 65, of Rockholds, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.  Born September 20, 1959, in Jellico, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Sylas Hill and Mary Jones Hill.

Sid loved his family.  He also loved being productive.  To say Sid was a hard-working man is an understatement; he held several jobs over his lifetime, all which required dedication and hard work.  He spent years as a coal miner, a factory worker at CTA, and a farmer; however, his most passionate work was in the lawn care service.

In addition to his birth parents, Sid was preceded in death by his parents who raised him, Gleanus and Fannie Carter; and by his cousin who was like a brother, Harrison Carter.

Sid leaves behind his son, Joseph Kevin Hill (Megan); grandson, Donovan Elijah Hill; his very best friend, Fay Buchanan; brother, Ernest Hill (Melissa); brother, James Hill; sister, Donna Carter; sister, Barbara Logan (Randy); and brother, Ralph Hill (Donna).  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dearly loved, Sid will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Kenny Paul officiating.  Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery at Gray, Kentucky, with Kevin Hill, Jacob Hill, C.J. Clark, Ernest Hill, Thomas Hill, and James Hill serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. Wednesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street Corbin, KY 40701.
