Stella Faye Harris Lenoir

Stella Faye Harris Lenoir, age 84, a long-time resident of the Corbin area, was born on May 21, 1932, in the community of Black Joe in Harlan, Kentucky.

Stella departed this world on Saturday, January 7, 2017, to be with our Heavenly Father. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, William B. Lenoir. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Benfield; granddaughter, Kristina Jill Partin; father, Dewey Harris; mother, Vella Spurlock; and siblings: Matt Harris, Lavern Nelson, and Leila Champlin.

She was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Corbin, KY. She was a member of the Women’s Mission Union (W.M.U.). She was gift shop manager and a loyal employee of Cracker Barrel Country Store in Corbin for 20 years.

Stella is survived by her children: Jacqueline Day (Eddie), Keavy, KY, Rita Partin, Corbin, KY, Rick Lenoir (Teresa), Corbin, KY, and Cindy Moore House (Tal), Lancaster, KY; a cherished nephew Jon Harris (Lynn); and a host of other special nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren: Eddie Day, Jr. (Stephanie), Caledonia, MI, Amy Isham Hurst (Bill), Lancaster, KY, Renee Benfield Gatewood, Corbin, KY, Emily Bowen (Bryan), Richmond, KY, Richard William Lenoir (Rachael), Tacoma, WA, Christopher Drew Moore, Richmond, KY, Allison Ann Lenoir, Corbin, KY, Kyndall Faith House, Lancaster, KY; ten great grandchildren: Lauren Mackenzie Isham, Lancaster, KY, Chandler and Colby Lenoir, Corbin, KY, Will, Grace, & Sophie Bowen, Richmond, KY, and Hudson, Brooks, Campbell, & Slade Day, Caledonia, MI.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 P.M. Stella will be laid to rest at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 11, 2017, in Woodlawn Cemetery in Franklin, North Carolina.
