Teresa Grubb Swafford, 71, of Rockholds, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025.  She was born April 3, 1954, in Knox County, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Grubb; her husband, Roy Woodrow Junior Swafford; her brother, Danny “Hank” Grubb; and her sister, Kathy J. Faulkner.

She leaves behind her mother, Irene Campbell; her son, David Barnett (Tedessa Ball); her daughter, Sharon Barnett; two step-sons: Jack Swafford (Kim) and Richard Swafford (Ashley); grandchildren: Ashley Davis, Irena Wolfrom, Alex West, Trinite Barnett, Mary Beth Wells, Rebecca Kuhl and husband Marcus, Haley Brooke Montgomery and husband Trevor, Dallas Brown, Isabella Swafford, and Isaiah Swafford; great-grandchildren: Sky Wells, Ryley Johnson, Hayden Montgomery, Roman Wells, Maverick Brown, Owen Kuhl, Georgia Mae Montgomery, and Lily Brown; siblings: Donnie Grubb, Minnie Taylor, Bobby Grubb (Elizabeth), Rebecca Cole (Larry), and Phillip Grubb (Tina); along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Teresa was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church.  She spent many years volunteering for Cedar Ridge Ministries.

Teresa loved her family and spending time with them.  She extended that love to many foster children over the years.  One of her greatest pleasures was traveling, especially taking cruises with her sisters.

Loved dearly, Teresa will be deeply missed by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, November 9, 2025, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Slusher Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Sunday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

    I am so sorry for your loss and I didn’t find out in time for her funeral to get to come.
