June 5, 1951 - January 2, 2022

Tommy Ray Patrick, 70, of Corbin passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Baptist Health Corbin.  Born June 5, 1951, in Rockholds, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Donald and Georgia Patrick.

Tommy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother.  He was currently serving as the assistant pastor at Park Hill Baptist Church in Corbin.  Over the years his church ministry included serving as a deacon at Candle Ridge Missionary Baptist Church and pastoring White Oak Missionary Baptist Church in Corbin and Free Spirit Baptist Church in Girdler.  He also served his country in the United States Air Force and was a Viet Nam veteran.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Shirley Casey, and by a special niece, LaLanya Rees.

Tommy leaves behind his loving family: his devoted wife of nearly 50 years, Sharon Patrick; daughter, Amber Patrick Bailey and husband Joey; son, Casey Patrick and wife Katheryne; four grandchildren: Brienna Bailey, Kaylen Bailey Jacklynn Patrick, and Cayson Patrick; and three sisters: Brenda Wilson and husband Gerald, Donna Hubbs and husband Michael, and Peggy Mills and husband Lonnie.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.  He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 6, 2022, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Jack Smith and Carson Mitchell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Patrick Family Cemetery with military rites by the D.A.V. Chapter 158.  Serving as pallbearers will be Neal Bailey, Joey Bailey, Travis Casey, Joe Melton, Justin Wyatt, Lonnie Mills, Clyde Dixon, Cody Dixon, Jerry Kinder, and Josh Meadors.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 P.M. Wednesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

    I’m so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed the few times I meet Tommy-he always had a smile on his face.

    We are so sorry for your loss. Tim and I have fond memories of Tommy officiating at our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding in 2003. Please know that we are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

    iremember tommy in high school playing basketball and growing up around buffolo.
