Vickie Joan Callebs, 65, Lexington, Kentucky, passed away at her home Friday, January 7, 2022.  Born February 2, 1956, in Woodbine, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Dallas and Beatrice Logan (Woodbine) and the daughter-in-law of the late Lawrence and Marie Callebs (Barbourville).

In addition to her parents, Vickie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Patrick “Pat” Callebs; a sister, Jania Horton; and two brothers: JT Logan and Paul Logan.

Raised in Knox County, Vickie was an enthusiastic UK Wildcat fan who loved to travel and spend time with family and friends.  She enjoyed the beach, ballgames, car races, and camping.  She lit up a room with her smile and open arms, never meeting a stranger.

To mourn her passing, Vickie leaves behind her cherished son, Jason (Tina) Callebs; three granddaughters: Haley, Brylee, and Rhagan; and great-grandson, Easton.  She is also survived by her siblings: Judy Collins, Jackie Grant, Etta Parsons, and John Logan; and sister-in-law, Mary Logan; as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 13, 2022, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Logan officiating.  Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wilkie D. Grant, Gary Grant, Steven Logan, Rickey Lusk, Tristan Trent, Doug Callebs, Barry Sams, Kevin Logan, and Bill Cain.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Logan, Darrell Callebs, John Callebs, and Vickie’s great-nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:30 P.M. Wednesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street Corbin, KY 40701

    Earl and I are so sorry to hear about Vickie. She always had a smile on her face and was a pleasure to be with. Heaven has gained an Angel!

    Vickie you were always one of my beautiful cousins. I wish we hadn’t lived so far apart. Tell everyone I said hello and I miss all of them. Love ya!
