Vivian McNeil
May 11, 1942 - September 30, 2022Vivian S. McNeil, 80, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022.
Born May 11, 1942, in Bell County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late William Marshall Siler and Martha Jane Siler.
Vivian was a member of Laurel Hill Pentecostal Church of Pineville, Kentucky. She retired from Bell South Telephone Company in 1996 after 35 years of service. She retired from Freeman, Childers & Howard in 2015 after 18 years of service.
Vivian was dedicated to her family, friends and especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, canning, and cooking.
In addition to her father and mother, Vivian was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Ernest Ray Bryant; her husband, James E. McNeil; and two sisters: Bobbie Jean Crowe and Letha Lucrisha Cox.
She leaves behind her daughter, Becky Bruce and husband Kevin of Louisville, Kentucky; her son, Ray Marshall Bryant of Corbin, Kentucky; two grandchildren: Lauren Laws and husband Chris of Richmond, Kentucky and Cory Bruce and fiancé Kelsey Stinson of Lexington, Kentucky; great-granddaughter, Kyleigh Brooke Laws; sister, Ginger Siler of Corbin, Kentucky; brother, Tom Siler and wife Phyllis of Speedwell, Tennessee; brother, Rick Siler and wife Vivian of Tazewell, Tennessee; brother, Steve Siler and wife Phyllis of New Tazewell, Tennessee; and brother, Calvin Siler and wife Mary of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
Vivian was loved dearly and loved her family just the same. Her kindness, compassion, humor and warmth shined throughout her life. She will be sorely missed.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at Cheek-Siler Cemetery in Pineville, Kentucky. Active pallbearers will be Ray Bryant, Cory Bruce, Tom Siler, Rick Siler, Steve Siler, and Calvin Siler; honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Bruce and Barry Siler.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street Corbin, KY 40701.
