William Harold Arnold

July 27, 1923 - December 3, 2015

Harold Arnold, 92, of Keavy passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015, at Saint Joseph London Hospital.  He was a member of Pleasant Springs Christian Church and was a U.S. Army veteran.  He was also a retired teacher with the Laurel County school system.

Born July 27, 1923, in Keavy, he was the son of the late William Speed Arnold and Alice Floyd Arnold. 

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise; three brothers: Hubert, Glenn, and Charles; and three sisters: Winnie, Lillian, and Stella.

He is survived by four children: Donnie Arnold, Ronnie Arnold and wife Rosey, Daryl Arnold and wife Ronda, and Glenda Messer and husband Eddie; seven grandchildren: Alicia Arnold, Eric Arnold, Tina House, Daryl Arnold II, Neil Arnold, Todd Messer, and Blake Arnold; seven great grandchildren: Latisha Arnold, Jared Arnold, Lucas Arnold, Brittanie Smith, Kyle Messer, Allison Messer, and Anthony House; and six great-great grandchildren, as well as other relatives and numerous friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 6, 2015, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Delmon Sizemore and Forester Baker, Jr., officiating.

Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.  The D.A.V. Chapter 158 will provide military honors.

The family of Harold Arnold will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

    So sorry to hear about your Dad. I remember how wonderful he was to me when I was in school (you guys would always pick me up for whatever school event). Those were special times.

    My heart and prayers go out to his family, especially Donnie and Blake. I had the honor of knowing and loving Harold. Family was very important to him and he made me feel as one of his own. I will miss the many talks and his smile. He will be greatly missed but always cherished and remembered in my heart.
