William Harrison Mills
July 29, 1943 - April 16, 2024William Harrison Mills, 80, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, in Gray, Kentucky. Born July 29, 1943, in Knox County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Bert and Amanda Mills.
In addition to his father and mother, William was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Patricia Mills, and 14 siblings.
He leaves behind his son, Clarence “Chuck” Mills (Michelle); daughter, Brenda Hughes; grandchildren: Amanda Mills (Isaiah), Brandie Mills (Jay Smith), Brad Mills (Amanda), Cody Hughes (Stephanie), and Josh Hughes; nine great-grandchildren; and three siblings: Irene, Lorene, and Audrey.
William was a life-long farmer who raised/tended cattle, tobacco, hay, corn, and a garden. His tractors were prized possessions. Recently, he had an interest in riding a Side by Side with his son Chuck. He also enjoyed deer hunting, especially with his grandson Josh. However, nothing was more important to him than spending time with his family.
A beloved, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, William will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 19, 2024, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Williams, Darrell Warren, and Jack Sears officiating. Graveside service will follow in Candle Ridge Cemetery in Gray, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Brad Mills, Jay Smith, Josh Hughes, Cody Huges, Isaiah Mills, and Kingston Mills.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Friday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street Corbin, KY 40701.

Posted at 01:40h, 18 AprilI Ican’t quite accept the fact that my last brother “Will” has went on to meet the Lord.. We were in a church service at Keck Baptist Church in Gray, Ky. On a Sunday night.
During invitation iI asked Will if he was saved and ready to go. He looked down at me and said “I took care of that years age. Praise the Lord.
