William Jeff Chadwell, 61, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital.  He was born April 19, 1964, in Corbin, Kentucky.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jeff Chadwell; his step-father, Gene L. Wyatt; his father-in-law, Donald Light; and his mother-in-law, Jamie Light.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 37 years, Donna Chadwell; daughter, Kayla Blane Chadwell; son, Zachary Jeff Chadwell; mother, Billie Ruth Wyatt; sister, Sherry McHargue (J.C.); sister, Lisa Cima (Edmondo); brother-in-law, Jeff Light (Mary); and sister-in-law, Wendy Hart (Kelvin).   He is also survived by several special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, and uncles, as well as many friends.

Jeff was currently working for Corbin Parks and Recreation, but had worked for 30 years in security at Baptist Health Hospital.   He was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Other than spending time with his beloved family, his greatest passion over the past 32 years was serving the youth of the community as both a coach for Corbin Little League and president of Corbin Little League.  Selfless, humble, generous, kind, loyal, and unassuming are a few of many descriptors of Jeff’s commitment to the community.  Never seeking attention or recognition, Jeff simply loved the youth.  Everyone who knew him felt his silent but impactful influence and will mourn his loss.

Jeff will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and the community he served and loved.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 22, 2025, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Ronnie Smith and Josh Pollitt officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery with Cruz Cima, Conner Blackburn, Michael Campbell, Danny Freeman, Dave Foley, Chris Griffin, Wayne Willis and Garrett Johnson serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 P.M. Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street Corbin, Kentucky 40701.

I grew up with Jeff as my neighbor. He was plagued by three girls when all he wanted to do was play baseball. Thankfully we three girls were tomboys who loved nothing better that to get a game of wiffleball going in our back yard. He could hit that ball clear to the next street. He always made time for me (the youngest) and I have wonderful memories of a young Jeff just being a kid.

It truly breaks my heart to see such a wonderful soul that loved his community and the young people that he served for so many years so much.. one thing I could say about Jeff is that he out cared everyone around him by his actions and hard work especially through the Little League program. As the owner and founder of cross the seams I was so blessed to be a small part of Jeff’s journey and I’m definitely a better human being for that. God bless you brother we love you.
