Earl Henderson, 86, passed away Monday, July 1, 2019, at his home in Corbin. Born June 3, 1933, in Whitley County, he was the son of the late Gordon and Ada Henderson.

He was a member of 20th Street Baptist Church in Corbin. He also was a United States Air Force veteran. Over the years his adventurous nature was evidenced in many ways, especially by his sky diving, boxing, motor cycle riding, and horseback riding.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Shirley Henderson; daughter, Tammy Prewitt and husband Dean; son, Danny Henderson; daughter, Lisa Canada; eight grandchildren: David Henderson, Jeff Prewitt, Misty Peace, Jason Prewitt, Brianna Martin, Kim Wilson, Megan Canada, and Josh Canada; 14 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and his brother, Ronnie Henderson. He is also survived by many other relatives and numerous friends. He will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 3, 2019, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Hodge, Bro. David Evans, and Bro. Alan Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Jack’s Fork Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers and full military rites by the American Legion Post 88 Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 P.M. Tuesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

    So sorry to hear of Earl passing. Have always known him. He was a good neighbor to the Share and Helton family.
