I am sorry to hear of your loss. I always enjoyed talking to Homer. He was one of the few in the clan not of a reich-wing persuasion….my memories sustain you in the days ahead.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for I too know the pain of losing someone you love. May your family find comfort as I have in knowing that our loving heavenly Father promises us that very soon he will ‘wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more.’ (Revelation 21:4) What a wonderful day that will be!

    Hi Ilene,

Although a distant friend from Canada, Homer always welcomed me into his world and was the kindest person I know. I am grateful to have known Homer and to have shared many conversations and personal time with him. I would never grow tired of him coal mining stories but my favorite is the one about your movie theater date only to sneak off and marry under a street light – two young kids very much in love. Homer will be missed. God Bless.
