I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Recently I lost my dear mother,
and found great comfort in the words of Jesus at John 11:11-14,
where death is compared to being asleep, and at John 5:28,29 –
“All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.”

We are sorry to hear about Jim. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Derek said to tell you he remembers taking the newspaper to him when he was little as a paperboy and how Jim and his family would always take the time to talk to him. Jim was always kind to our family and we will always remember that when my grandmother passed away two years ago day after Christmas our hearts were broken then we watched movie Heaven is for Real. The movie gave us comfort at a difficult time and reminded us that there is a beautiful place our loved ones have gone to where there is no sickness. Jim displayed the light of God to everyone who crossed his path and his spirit will live on and someday you will see him once again in our heavenly home. Bonni and Derek will be praying for you that God s peace and comfort will be with you now and in the days ahead.

Just saw this. Sorry to hear. I grew up next door to “Jimmie” in Berkley, Michigan. There were about five of us born in 1942 on that block, so we also all started school together.
