No words can express the feeling of losing someone as amazing and wonderful as Lawannia. I found myself going back and listening to some old songs Lawannia used to sing all the time when she and the girls lived in Michigan. Every time we got in her Silver Thunderbird, there were only 2 cassette tapes were ever played, The Judd’s and Holly Dunn (Daddy’s Hands). She would sing and sing. She had an amazing voice singing along with The Judd’s.
To this day, if I hear the Judd’s on the radio singing, “Grandpa, Mamma He’s Crazy or Why Not Me” it takes me back to that Silver Thunderbird and I can only hear it sang in her voice.
Lawannia wasn’t selfish, very thoughtful of others, she was an awesome mother to her girls growing up and to her friends who always hung out at their house. She was like another mom to me for quite a while. I will always remember and never forget Lawannia and her beautiful singing voice. I pray for God to be with the family in their time of need and help them get through this most difficult time.
