Terry Lynn Bruner

August 23, 1955 - May 12, 2022

Terry Lynn Bruner, 66, of Corbin passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022, at his home.  Born August 23, 1955, in Barbourville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Bill and Sylvania Bruner.

Terry found much happiness spending time with his family and especially doting on his grandchildren.  Together they enjoyed four-wheeling, boating, and riding the tractor.

The first four years of Terry’s work career were spent at Ford Motor Company in Lorain, Ohio.  He spent the last 40 years as a faithful employee at Whayne Supply Company in Corbin.

In addition to his father and mother, Terry was preceded in death by an infant sister, Willamena Bruner; sister, Hazel Johnson; and sister, Faye Talhammer.

Terry leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Janet K. Bruner; son, Travis Lynn Bruner and wife Angie; daughter, Tiffany Danielle Coffman and husband Josh; five grandchildren: Jonathan Coffman, Taten Bruner, Jeremiah Coffman, Tillie Bruner, and Tori Camille Bruner; two step-grandchildren: Zack Coffman and Camden Ledington; brother, Clark Bruner and wife Donna of Avon Lake, Ohio; brother, Gary Bruner of Vermillion, Ohio; and brother-in-law, Guy Talhammer.  He is also survived by other relatives and numerous friends.

He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 16, 2022, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Barnard and Mark Barnes officiating.  Burial will follow in Gilbert Cemetery at Girdler, Kentucky.  Pallbearers will be Adam Farmer, Mark Barnes, Larry Carper, Jordan Myers, Camden Ledington, and Dennis Frederick.  Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Whayne Supply Company.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 P.M. Sunday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street Corbin, KY 40702.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Locust Grove Baptist Church P.O. Box 10 Girdler, KY 40943.

The family extends much gratitude to the VNA Hospice nurses, especially to Perlina, Barb, Diane, and Ed.

    He was a great man to work with for many years. Always fun and hard working. He will be missed by many.
